For more decades than is polite to admit, the woman behind our Curated Consignment collection has been dreaming of creating a space to inspire, delight, and support sustainable home interiors. Jennifer Opatz has been designing homes since the late 1900's, so she has quite a few opinions about home fashion.

And while designing interiors has been a fabulous career, the time has come to support the community in a way that is uniquely hers. Jennifer has a deep appreciation for finding the gem in a pile of discarded goods. She has been known to go waist deep into an old barn just to salvage something long forgotten before it is too late.

In her opinion, every item has a story. The imperfections in the finish, the unique colors and textures that come from age are what bring each piece to life. The people who built them, moved them, and lived with them all leave their mark.

Thus, House of Historie is intentionally misspelled with an "ie" to signify the beauty and uniqueness of the journey and the histories we all share.
